Jake takes off on Sunday

Jake takes off for Peace Corps Malawi on Sunday February 29th. Everyone is going to miss him and wants to live vicariously through him :) so I'm going to try and collect the letters and pictures he sends to friends and family and post them on this web site, Malawi Jake http://malawijake.honkatonk.com/.

Here's how I hope it can work. When Jake sends any of us communication via a letter, a picture, a visit, or a phone call we should get it posted on this site. That way we can all share in the experience. Because Jake will not have electronic means to send information that means that we will need to type in letters, scan pictures, etc. Once you have some information entered electronically, I can either post that information on his website for you or you can post it yourself. To have me post it, you send an email to dohunt@hotmail.com with subject JAKE and include or attach the communication. If you want to post it yourself, I can create an account for you on Malawi Jake so you can post it yourself. Just send me an email and I'll create an account for you.

This website is a work in progress. If you have ideas or are technically inclined, I would love some input and help making it better. I talked with Jake about this site and I know he is very excited about the prospect of all his connections communicating and sharing his experience with him. This site will someday be an archive of his African experience through our eyes. However, it will only work if we all participate, so I ask that you take a break and help out when you get some communication from Jake.
