Encouragement and New Posts Coming
Two items of note. Greg has informed me that the story based on his journaling in Malawi In the Back of the Beyond is a work in progress and he needs some encouragement to finish it up! Send him an email or post some comments!
Also, I spoke with Jake today and he should have some new writings to post for everyone soon.

Dear Jake and family,
I am Jessica Rowlan’s mom. She has returned home because she did not want to stay for the full 2 years.
The accomplishment of the undetaking has got to be daunting. I know that you are so committed and the work you have done so far is actually getting results. The difficulty of attaining results is the underlying question…What is truly necessary for anyone in the Peace Corp Volunteer position to make a lasting improvement?
I feel that it has to do with “support”. Support of your family and friends; support of the Corps, and most important, surrounding yourself with a support network right where you are at the village level.
Frustration is the occurance of not having control of the outcome of any situation. Every day you face the ordeals of the environment, lasting traditions that impede your progress, and frustration in the delays that face every endeavor you attempt.
Thankfully you have your family, friends and the Peace Corps to help you along the way.
Know that what you are doing is truly blessed. In whatever way you take that, You have been given an assignment that you will succeed when many others like you have failed.
Triumph and success are yours!!! Let every day you achieve the smallest goal be fulfilling and may you endure until the end!

Unfortunaely, I clicked on site to remove my name from receiving Malawi Jake postings. My mistake. Please continue to send me the postings.
Good luck Greg with your journal.

Jake-
I was sitting at the OR(Ona Rosa) the other day with your father and Joey Tram and starting talking about you. Your father scribbled a website down on a napkin and I wound up with it in my pocket the next morning. Joey told me that you gotta go to this site and read this. Well I gotta tell ya, I cant read enough. I had no idea what the Peace Corps was all about and what an amazing person that you are. We need more people in the world like you Jake. Well I just wanted to say that we are thinking about you over here, more so over alot of Pints of beer but none the less. Be safe Jake and keep up the good work.
